I just got back from the Altantic Paddling Symposium. I can't say how impressed I was with the quality of coaching and presentations at this event. There were coaches from BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland, Washington and California. A truly national (and international event). It really solidified in my mind, that the gathering of the paddling community, of like minded folks in the Paddle Canada circle, is so important. The variety of clinic offerings was also fantastic whether you wanted to learn moving water or flatwater canoe skills, sea kayaking surfing or rescues, flatwater SUP or just
join in on a daytrip down a river or on the ocean. There was lots to choose from. I didn't have a chance to take many photos since I was either busy wearing my PC hat helping the event committee or out on the water all three days teaching. I was fortunate to lead or assist on Wind Management & Boat Control, Blending Strokes & Intro to Surfing. The silent auction went really well and raised $911 for the Bill Mason Scholarship Fund. Thanks to everyone you participated in this and for your support.
So now we look forward to the Alberta Paddling Symposium next June 29 - July 2. Hope to see some of you there.
