









Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Introduction, Intermediate, and Advanced Moving Water Instructor courses. There are three levels of Instructor Trainers. Instructor Trainers are considered leaders in the moving water or whitewater paddling community and have significant influence over the success and safety of the Moving water Canoeing in Canada.
Prerequisites
Moving Water Canoe Instructor Solo (Intro)
Must have taught 2 Intro (Solo) Skills Courses, in the last three years.

The Moving Water Canoe Instructor Trainer Solo is certified to:

Program Overview
Candidates must mentor on at least 2 Moving Water Instructor Courses Solo (Intro).
Candidates must teach at least 50% of the time after the first mentorship.
Candidates are to produce an Instructor Course outline for the mentoring Instructor Course.
Be recommended by the Instructor Trainer(s) that candidates are mentoring under.
Assessment
Instructor Trainers are expected to have mastered the Introduction skills and a strong handle on the Intermediate skills of the Moving Water Program.
They must demo the highest demo quality manoeuvres on the Intro Instructor Course.
They must seem comfortable and show the mastery in skill, knowledge, and safety for the course they are mentoring and teaching.
