WATERWALKER FILM FESTIVAL

Deadline for submissions is December 15th, 2009.
 
Winning entries will be featured in the 2010 WATERWALKER Film Festival Tour and will be promoted in KANAWA Canada's Paddling Magazine, on Paddle Canada's website, via our Member Newsletter and other media releases.
 
ENTRY CATEGORIES
The WaterWalker Film Festival is a celebration of exceptional films and videos on canoeing, kayaking, sea kayaking, nature, high adventure and the conservation of water environments. While the Festival accepts videos and films depicting any aspect of life on the water, the following categories are currently featured:
  • Adventure
  • Action
  • Environment
  • Safety
  • Amateur
  • Music/Music Video
ENTRY PROCEDURES
The dispatching of any Film Entry to the WaterWalker Film Festival Committee implies acceptance of the Entry Procedures and Regulations. Please make certain that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms as outlined below prior to submitting your film entry.
  1. Entries can be of any duration and can be narrative, story, animated or experimental art form.
  2. Entries can be submitted by professional or amateur filmmakers.
  3. Filmmakers from any country may enter, but foreign language entries must be accompanied by an English translation.
  4. All entries MUST be accompanied by a brief (75 word maximum) summary of the film.
  5. All music rights MUST be cleared before submission to the Festival Committee.
  6. An entry will consist of two (2) duplicate copies to be submitted and be retained by the Festival Committee for selection and archival purposes. Do not send your originals.
    • 2.5 VHS format NTSC
    • DVD format NTSC
  7. All entries will be viewed by the Festival Committee but only those individuals whose films are selected for the Festival Tour will be contacted. Finalists chosen by the Festival Committee are eligible to go on the Festival Tour.
  8. All winners will be notified no later than Feb 15, 2010
  9. If selected, winners must provide ten (10) copies to the Festival at No Charge.
  10. Entries may be copied by the Festival Committee for simulcast purposes on the Festival Tour.
