The
WATERWALKER Film Festival is now an annual event. We are currently
accepting entries for the 2009 Festival. Deadline for submissions
is December 19th, 2008.
All
winners will be featured in the "WATERWALKER Film Festival" tour
of Canadian, United States and international cities and will be
promoted in KANAWA,
Canada's Paddling Magazine,
on the Paddle Canada website and in
all media releases.

The WaterWalker Film Festival is a celebration of exceptional films and videos on canoeing, kayaking, sea kayaking, nature, high adventure and the conservation of water environments. While the festival accepts all videos and films depicting any aspect of life on the water, the following categories are currently featured:

Adventure

Action
-
Environment

Entries can be of any duration and can be narrative, story, animated or experimental art form.

Entries can be submitted by professional or amateur filmmakers.

Filmmakers from any country may enter, but foreign language entries must be accompanied by an English translation.

All entries MUST be accompanied by a brief (75 word maximum) summary of the film.

All music rights MUST be cleared before submission to the Festival Committee.

An entry will consist of two (2) duplicate copies to be submitted and be retained by the Festival Committee for selection and archival purposes. Do not send your originals.

All entries will be viewed by the Festival Committee but only those individuals whose films are selected for the Festival Tour will be contacted. Finalists chosen by the Festival Committee are eligible to go on the Festival Tour.

All winners will be notified by no later than Feb 15, 2005

If selected, winners must provide ten (10) copies to the Festival at No Charge.

Entries may be copied by the Festival Committee for simulcast purposes on the Festival Tour.

dispatching of any entry to the WaterWalker Film Festival Committee
implies acceptance of the Entry Procedures and Regulations as outlined.
Please be sure that you have read, understood, complied with, and
agreed to the terms of the Entry Procedures and Regulations prior
to submitting your entry.
